Returns

Our goal is to help you find the best solution to your mobility needs. In most cases, if a purchased item doesn't solve your issue the way you were expecting it to, we can waive any restocking fees by doing a one-time exchange within 3 days of the purchase if we can find a different product of equal or greater value as a better solution. The following restrictions for waiving any fees will apply: If the original item is damaged, if it has been in a smoking environment or around strong odors. If your location is outside of our store delivery area, the initial delivery fee/shipping charge would be nonrefundable, and a 2nd delivery/ exchange fee would be charged.

If your return meets the Return Criteria, the following charges will be applied. This includes any order canceled after it has been shipped but before it has been received.

  • Scooters: A 30% restocking fee + any shipping / delivery / pickup fees

  • Power Chairs: A 30% restocking fee + any shipping / delivery / pickup fees

  • In-Stock Lift Chairs: A 30% restocking fee + any shipping / delivery / pickup fees

  • Custom ordered Lift Chairs: Non-returnable once the item has been shipped or delivered

Due to the size, rarity, and/or price of certain products, we cannot accept returns on them, and they are labeled as such on their product page (marked in bold text). Additionally. the following categories are non-returnable:

  • Vehicle Lifts

  • Stair Lifts

  • Vertical Lifts

  • Patient Lifts

  • Open Box or Clearance Items

  • Custom Ordered Lift Chairs (Any chair ordered that is not in stock in our showrooms)

  • Any custom ordered parts

Warranties

Manufacturers warranty their product against defects in material and workmanship . Each product has specific warranty terms and conditions, along with exceptions as documented by the Product Warranty Certificate . This document outlines our general warranty policy & procedures and provides additional detail related to the product warranties.

Customer warranty claims must be provided to Manufactures through The Aging In Place Store.

Warranty term starts on the date of initial installation and or purchase date, or determined by the filing of a completed Warranty Registration Form within ten days of purchase.

Labor and travel are not part of manufactures standard warranty. Manufacturers may contract with its dealers to service / repair products in the field . In certain cases, manufacturers warranty will reimburse reasonable labor if previously authorized in writing through the manufactures Technical Services department.

Standard labor and travel rates are $125 per hour.
